These are my reviews of the many butt-lifting pants and butt-lifter pant sets I bought from Temu. Click the images to zoom in to see the individual pictures of each of the pants (with me modeling the pants from different angles, and with the pants featured alone) up close. Click the links to see the exact butt-lifters and butt-lifting pant sets I bought from Temu.
If you decide, even after reading my very honest reviews, that you want to purchase any of the pants I have reviewed, and aren't already signed up with Temu, then please use my referral link to sign up, to both help our site out, and receive special promotional discounts for yourself. It will give you a $100 coupon bundle when you sign up, that totals savings of up to $100, if you use all the coupons that come in the bundle. You can also use my code acs874614 for 30% off your first order. I don't endorse buying from Temu, and have been burned by their computer system and customer service a number of times, but I know that their sometimes insanely-discounted prices can be a gem -- what with the heavily-inflated costs in so many other areas of our lives -- so if their offers and promotions are irresistible to you (as they sometimes are to me), then consider helping support our site, and saving even more while doing so, by using my link and code. :)
In total, I got 12 pairs of butt-lifting pants/capri pants from Temu. If you haven't already read my post on why and how I chose to get them, and my initial viewpoints on them, then you can read Part 1 of my article here.
Initially, I only got six pairs of butt-lifting pants -- two three-pant sets of different kinds: one set of three pairs of butt-lifting leggings, in black, grey, and white; and one set of three pairs of butt-lifting capris, in three funky designs (one black with white splatters; one white with dark blue splatters; and one dark purple with neon pink, green, and blue splatters).
After deciding that the ones I'd already ordered didn't do enough to lift my butt, I decided to try ordering different styles of butt-lifting pants in black, to see if any particular style worked better on my flat butt.
The styles I got were a cargo-pant style one, with multiple pockets, including two big back pockets; a "scrunch-butt" one with ruching at the back; one for biking that said it helped with shaping, but didn't specify how; a honeycomb-patterned one also with a bit of ruching at the butt, but less pronounced; and one set of two pairs of "peach lift" pants, in black and light pink.
Below is what I got, with the names they were advertised with on Temu (which contain links you can click to see the pages where you can buy the pants), the main advertised image featured on the site, how the pants looked like on me (with front, back, and side shots of most of the pants), how the pants looked like on their own (with front and back shots), and my review of them (with the pros and cons of each, my assessment of whether they are a gem or junk, and my rating out of five stars); and who we think they are gems for.
**Note: I returned the first two sets of three pants and three capris I bought, before I thought of smelling them, or wearing them for a while and assessing them for the fabric, since I had bought them for the butt-lifting effects, and found that they weren't good enough -- so I can't comment on the smell of the fabric of those pairs, or whether or not they would have made my legs itch, if I had worn them longer (like all the other pants I spent more time assessing, did).**
Material: 75% Polyamide, 10% Elastane
(Note: Sorry, the black pants were the first shots we took, and we only took a back and side shot, so we didn't get all four sides of this particular pair!)
Reviews
Pros:
-practical colors for everyday wear -- will match with most things
-white is an expanding color and should help with the enlarging illusion
-good compression in the tummy area to pull it in so it doesn't bulge out as much
-design makes the butt look a little lifted from the back
-black version lifts the butt slightly
Cons:
-pants lift better than most of the other butt-lifting pants, but still did not lift the butt enough to look good enough for my man
-inconsistent butt-lifting effect: some colors like black lift better than others, and the grey version lifts the butt slightly on one side but doesn't lift it at all on the other side
-the butt-lifting design looks kind of funny in the butt area
-pants really require pulling them up as high as they can go to have any butt-lifting effect on flat butts, but this means that they will not cover the full length of your leg if you are on the taller side, like me
-unless you take the time to really pull up and adjust the pants, the butt-lifting isn't really noticeable -- you can't just pull them on like normal pants, if you expect them to do anything for your butt
-pants hug so tightly that bulges and cellulite become pronounced, depending on how high up you pull the pants. The higher you are able to pull the pants, the more effective the butt-lifting effect, but also the more the little bulges show. To me, the trade-off is not worth it
-material makes legs feel very hot, making the pants impractical to work out in, unless you want to wear them out in colder weather
-material smells funny, and made me itch after wearing the pants for a few minutes (keep in mind that I have very sensitive skin)
-material is synthetic
-material could contain toxic substances, since clothing and products sold on Temu have been found to contain toxic substances like lead, etc.
Gem or Junk?
Gems For Who:
1) women who already have a decent-sized butt, but want more lift to make it look even bigger
2) women who already have a big butt that's a funny shape, who want it molded into a bubble-butt look
3) women who don't have sensitive skin, and don't care about wearing natural materials, who might even find the pant material to be comfortable
4) women who are willing to take the risk of potentially toxic pants in exchange for paying a cheap price to try out pants specifically designed to lift the butt
Material: 90% Polyester, 10% Elastane
Reviews
Pros:
-funky, unique designs and colors -- my man really liked them, and recommended me trying the capri set for that reason
-big pockets on the sides, big and deep enough to hold large phones, electronics, and more, without worrying about them falling out
-felt cool and smooth against the skin to put on
Cons:
-pants did absolutely nothing to lift a flat butt, and did the worst in terms of butt-lifting, out of all the pants I bought
-much less effective at compressing the stomach than the other pants I tried
-material is synthetic
-material could contain toxic substances, since clothing and products sold on Temu have been found to contain toxic substances like lead, etc.
Gem or Junk?
Gems For Who:
1) women who love leggings with funky designs; have bright and loud personalities, and want pants to match them; and want pants to wear for fashion
2) women who want leggings with pockets big enough to hold their phone and electronics without worrying about them falling out
3) female runners/joggers who want leggings that will allow them to run with their musical devices
4) women who don't have sensitive skin, and don't care about wearing natural materials, who might even find the pant material to be comfortable
5) women who are willing to take the risk of potentially toxic pants in exchange for cheap price for a trendy design and cheap workout gear with big pockets
Material: 75% Polyester, 25% Spandex
Reviews
Pros:
-lots of big pockets to carry stuff in
-big back pockets on the butt add to the illusion of a big butt, by adding volume
-my man thinks that owning them at this time makes you look pretty innovative, as most butt-lifting pants don't have button-up pockets, so you would be wearing something different from what most people are sporting currently
-feel pretty warm, if you want to wear them outside as cargo pants
-material feels very thick and durable
Cons:
-not very good butt-lifting effect -- the pockets do all the "enlarging"
-most of the buttons are only for show: the button-holes on almost all the pockets are too small for the buttons to fit through, so that you can only button one of the buttons out of 6 buttons
-scary to try to put stuff in the pockets, since the buttons don't work
-the back pockets are too small to hold a phone, while the side pockets just barely hold one
-much less effective at compressing the stomach than the other butt-lifting pants I bought -- no real holding in of the stomach, despite the advertising for it claiming that it offers tummy control
-feels very fitted, and the material is almost like felt -- felt super-hot as soon as I put them on, which might not be good for working out with
-tightness highlights cellulite bulges around the butt area
-warm material makes them impractical to work out indoors in
-started to feel itchy as soon as I put them on
-material is synthetic
-material could contain toxic substances, since clothing and products sold on Temu have been found to contain toxic substances like lead, etc.
Gem or Junk?
Gems For Who:
1) women who want cargo-style leggings for the innovative look, or for the usefulness of the multiple pockets
2) women who already have a big butt, but want big pockets to enhance them even more
3) women who don't have sensitive skin, and don't care about wearing natural materials, who might even find the pant material to be comfortable
4) women who are willing to take the risk of potentially toxic pants in exchange for a cheap price for a trendy design
Material: 90% Polyester, 10% Elastane
Reviews
Pros:
-feel light to wear -- lighter than the other butt-lifting pants
-more comfortable and cooler (in temperature) to wear than the other pants
Cons:
-feels like it's made of very sticky material -- even the outside feels sticky, like you spilled something sticky all over it, when you touch it
-smells funny
-chemicals from the pants rub off onto your skin: when I touched the pants, it made my hands felt like I had something on them. To check that I hadn't had anything on my hands before touching the pants, I washed my hands and felt the pants again, and felt the same thing when I felt the pants again, making me concerned about how much the chemicals leach into your legs from the pants while you're wearing them
-legs started to feel itchy a few minutes into wearing them
-the ruched part of the butt looks weird, like you have a wedgy
-tightness highlights cellulite bulges
-material is synthetic
-material could contain toxic substances, since clothing and products sold on Temu have been found to contain toxic substances like lead, etc.
-somewhat see-through when bending over
Gem or Junk?
Gems For Who:
1) women who already have a butt, who want the butt cheeks separated to make them more defined and better shaped
2) women who don't have sensitive skin and don't care about wearing natural materials, as reviews show that some reviewers found the pants to be super-soft and super-comfortable to wear
3) women who already have a butt, who are willing to take the risk of potentially toxic pants in exchange for trying the ruched-style of butt-lifting pants
Material: 90% Polyester, 10% Elastane
Reviews
Pros:
-material feels very smooth and thick
-not see-through
Cons:
-no real lifting effect for women with flat butts
-doesn't hold in the stomach well
-the material doesn't breathe, so it feels hot when you try to do heavier physical activity in them
-starts to feel itchy after wearing them for a few minutes
-material is synthetic
-material could contain toxic substances, since clothing and products sold on Temu have been found to contain toxic substances like lead, etc.
Gem or Junk?
Gems For Who:
1) women who want cheap leggings for yoga, who don't have sensitive skin, and don't care about wearing natural materials, as multiple reviewers have stated that they are good for wearing for yoga and to the gym
Material: 95% Polyester, 5% Spandex
Reviews
Pros:
-has two pockets on the sides large enough to hold a phone (but just barely, for a big phone) and more
-non-transparent fabric
Cons:
-the pockets are just barely big enough to hold a big iPhone -- I'd be scared it might fall out while wearing it
-not much butt-lifting effect
-felt super-itchy as soon as I put them on, and got itchier as I continued to wear them. It felt like they could have a funny effect if worn over a prolonged period of time, but I didn't wear them long enough to experience whether or not they did
-really hot and uncomfortable to wear
-smelled very chemical
-material is synthetic
-material could contain toxic substances, since clothing and products sold on Temu have been found to contain toxic substances like lead, etc.
Gem or Junk?
Gems For Who:
1) women who already have a butt, who want to give the combined ruching-and-honeycomb style a try, as some reviewers stated that it helped make their butt look bigger
2) women who don't have sensitive skin and don't care about wearing natural materials, who are willing to take the risk of potentially toxic pants in exchange for a cheap price for a trendy design
Material: 65% Nylon, 25% Polyester, 10% Spandex
Reviews
Pros:
-Did lift the butt somewhat
Cons:
-lifts the butt, but creates a funny bulge in the leg due to the way it is designed, because of the banding under the butt. If you have bulges or cellulite, it might highlight them
-slightly chemical scent
-became super-itchy as I wore them longer
-material is synthetic
-material is a little see-through
-my man commented that the pink pants kind of make it look like you aren't wearing pants, because they are too close in shade to skin-color
-material could contain toxic substances, since clothing and products sold on Temu have been found to contain toxic substances like lead, etc.
Gem or Junk?
Gems For Who:
1) women who want butt-liftage and don't have cellulite
2) women who don't mind wearing long shirts to cover the butt area, if they care about the pants being see-through
3) women who don't have sensitive skin and don't care about wearing natural materials, who are willing to take the risk of potentially toxic pants in exchange for a cheap price for butt-lifting
