If you're looking for a way to wear crown chakra crystals on your crown/head on a regular basis, then the crystal headbands for sale on Temu are a very affordable and practical way to make this possible... as long as you don't have a big head.
This article is the first of a series we are starting on different kinds of natural crystal accessories you can wear on your head -- specifically ones that are made with crystals that are the best for unblocking and accessing the chakras located on your head (your crown and third eye chakras) -- making it possible to wear the crystals where they make the most sense to be worn: on, over, and near your crown/head and third eye. We have bought at least one of each of such natural crystal hair accessories as crystal hair pins, barrettes, hair chopsticks, and tiaras made with various types of crystals associated with the crown and third eye chakras, to help you know how to use them, and what to expect.
I know I have a huge head, and have even written about it in my review of hat stretchers from Temu, and how they can help issues I've had with too-small hats. However, even I was surprised when I tried on the amethyst crystal headband I bought from Temu, and discovered just how small it was. I hadn't been able to find any information about its dimensions on the product description, but I thought that, at worst, it would just pinch against my head. I was appalled when the ends of the arms of the headband wouldn't even reach my temples. I have never encountered a headband so small before.
I tried to wear it anyway, but my man told me that it looked too small for my head. I checked the mirror and saw what he meant, as it was very obvious that the handles didn't extend down to where they were supposed to.
I was so disappointed, because I had been very excited about finding and buying a natural crystal headband -- so excited that I ordered another one, made with clear quartz, before the first one, made with amethyst, had even arrived. See the images below to see how the amethyst and clear quartz headbands sat on my head, with the arms not even long enough to tuck behind my ears, and unable to help hold the headbands in place.
The image below, taken off the product page from the Temu website, of the crystal headbands I bought, shows how the crystal headband should fit... on a small- or average-sized head.
The crystal beads on the headbands are small ones that are polished smooth, and woven individually onto the headband with wire. The amethyst and clear quartz headbands I bought didn't specify what the bands were made of, but other similar-looking crystal headbands from other vendors are described as being made of copper, so I'm hoping that the ones I got are also made of copper. The photos below are taken from the promo ads for the crystal headbands from Temu. As one shows, the bead sizes range from 5 to 8mm each.
The Value of Crown-Chakra-Specific Crystal Headbands
If you use crystals for healing, then you know that some crystals are associated with your crown chakra, which sits at the top of your head. An article on Powerful Healing Crystals For Balancing The Crown Chakra describes how crystals and gemstones have been used around the world for many centuries to heal and activate the chakras, and bring positivity and good luck into the lives of those who believe in them. Every chakra has its own frequency, with the crown chakra frequency being 963 HZ, and healing crystals that are associated with this chakra resonating with this frequency, helping you tap into and access your mind chakra, and the power that resides there, and helping balance and harmonize your chakras.
While you can carry crown chakra crystals with you, and keep them around you, I think that it makes the most sense to wear them on your head, to have them as close to your crown chakra as possible, to give them their greatest effect. However, I think that it's inconvenient to have to find a time and place to lay down and place them on your head, and find a way to ensure that the crystals don't fall off and get lost -- which is especially hard to prevent if your crystals are small.
I thought that crystal headbands were a brilliant way to be able to wear crown chakra crystals on your crown, and had ordered an amethyst one, and later a clear quartz one, because those made the most sense to wear on your head. I had also found crystal tiaras, but they seemed too fancy to wear on a regular basis, which is why I had thought that the headbands would work better for everyday wear. See the image to the side for a closer look at the amethyst headband I bought.
The other good thing about crystal headbands is that they allow you to wear the crystals literally on top of your head, as opposed to just around it. See the images below to see how they sit on the top/crown of my head.
Crown chakra stones and crystals are usually violet or clear/white in color, which correspond to the colors associated with the crown chakra, which are purple and white.
Different sites list different crystals as ones beneficial for the crown chakra, but amethyst and clear quartz often top the lists.
The article I've referenced above lists the following as the best gemstones for unblocking and activating the crown chakra: amethyst, clear quartz, selenite, lepidolite, howlite, labradorite, white agate, lapis lazuli, and moonstone -- stating that each has its own special properties, such that choosing the one that is right for you depends on what you wish to attain from introducing chakra stones into your life.
The article says that "amethyst for crown chakra is renowned for fostering psychic development, crystal-clear intuition, and increased spiritual awareness, while "clear quartz is also a crown chakra stone that brings you the blessing of peaceful sleep and crown chakra benefits."
An article on Crown Chakra Stones: 13 Essential Crystals For The Sahasrara describes the amethyst as "every inch the crown chakra gem," "[p]erfectly purple and prized for being loaded with spiritual vibes," "wash[ing] away all shades of stress and anxiety, prep[ping] you for receiving the light of the universe," "get[ting] you going on the third eye chakra – making sure that you are tapped into your infinite wisdom and deeper understanding so you are ready to receive all the messages you need," and "ensur[ing] you are ready for deeper meditation, raising your vibration, and turning any negative energy into feelings of love and connected consciousness."
About clear quartz, it summarizes the clear quartz crystal as "a sublime master healer on many different levels," "get[ting] to work on all chakras, removing blockages and making sure that energy can flow with the force of a fine spring melt," "bring[ing] you in to sit with your higher self[,] and read[ying] you for the experience of an open mind and an open heart," and open[ing] the crown and welcom[ing] that light to flow right through, awakening dormant dreams and desires[,] and filling every inch of your physical and spiritual self with purpose and power."
There are crystal headbands for sale on Temu made with other crystals available, but those crystals are mostly associated with other chakras lower in the body.
As an article on What the Ancients Knew About Crystals says, "Royals have worn crystals throughout history in their jewelry, crowns, thrones and swords. Interestingly, the placement of crystals on the crown on a royal’s head could activate their crown chakra, and the same goes for a necklace over the heart chakra, rings on fingers for energy meridians, and earrings to stimulate reflex points."
I think that this is not really a consideration for most purchasers, who probably choose whatever crystal they like best or whatever color attracts them most, but because I also care about the properties of crystals and what they help best, I didn't buy the other types of crystal headbands, because I think that the other types of crystals make more sense to buy on rings, bracelets, necklaces, earrings, etc.
Another reason I purchased the clear quartz headband is because I thought that it would more-easily match the things I wear, since it is white in color.
As I stated earlier, from seeing the ads of another vendor of similar-looking crystal headbands on Temu, I think that the metal that was used to make the headband is copper. I can't confirm this with the one I bought, since there was no information on this. If it really is copper, then that is exactly what I would have hoped for. As an article on Crystals Wrapped In Copper - Benefits says, among other things, "copper, known for its conductivity, enhances the energy flow of crystals, intensifying their healing properties."
The headband is very well-made. None of the beads had fallen off during transport, and seemed very securely woven on. See the image to the side for a close-up of the weaving.
If they had only fit my head, and not felt ridiculously small, then I would be recommending these crystal headbands more, but because they seem made for small heads, I can only recommend them to people with small and average-sized heads. Otherwise, they will likely look too small, and cause discomfort to your head.
Crystal Headband Measurements
To find out how wide and high the crystal headbands are, I measured them. Below is what I found:
Both headbands are around 5 and a half inches long, and a bit under 5 inches wide.
If your head is around these dimensions, then the headbands should fit you fine. My head is way bigger than this, and you will likely experience discomfort while wearing them, if your head is also larger than these dimensions.
Hat Stretcher Help
If you have a hat stretcher like the one I wrote about in my hat stretcher review, then you can try using it to stretch the crystal headbands. I tried putting my clear quartz headband around it for a few minutes, and, after taking it off, saw that it had made the band wider. It stretched out even more after I left it on the stretcher for a few hours. Obviously, it can't make the headband bigger or make the arms grow longer, but it might help the headband at least loosen a bit so that it doesn't pinch the sides of your head as much. I did find that they felt better compared to wearing the headband I hadn't stretched, but not enough to not pinch my head, and not give me a headache. See below for how to arrange the headband on the hat stretcher. Please make sure to be careful if you try this, and be very gentle, to make sure that you don't snap or break your headband!
You can see the difference in how wide the arms of the clear quartz headband ended up after stretching it on the hat stretcher for only a few minutes, in the image below, where I placed the amethyst headband that I didn't stretch on top of and inside of the clear quartz headband, with the clear quartz headband's arms now noticeably wider than those of the amethyst headband.
I was able to stretch it out even more than this afterward, but not enough to not hurt my head, so I don't think it's worth buying a hat stretcher to do this, although it's worth trying if you already own one.
WARNING:
According to the reviews I've read, it's possible that the crystal headbands with light blue stones sometimes labeled as "aquamarine" have dyed stones, and are possibly fake. I haven't bought one myself to check, but please do keep that in mind, if you decide to buy a headband. Those are the only crystals on the crystal headbands from Temu that I've seen that have received complaints for being dyed, but I can't be sure that there aren't others like this, which is why I can only vouch for the amethyst and clear quartz ones as being made with natural crystals.

Conclusion:
The crystal headbands from Temu are, in my opinion, definitely worth trying if you have a small head, and want to try the crown chakra crystal headband options.
They're also worth getting if you have a small head and think that they're pretty, because they really are.
I have a big head and still decided to keep mine, because I value the benefits of being able to wear crown chakra crystals on my head -- especially directly on the top of my crown, as these headbands, when positioned properly, allow you to do. I was also able to receive a small partial refund for the poor size fit for one.
If you don't care about or believe in crystal benefits, then the crystal headbands are still worth buying if you like the way they look, and have a small head.

Also, after writing this article, I went and bought two MORE crystal headbands from a different seller on Temu, that were advertised with a bigger size, and decided to do a follow-up review when I saw how different the new ones I ordered were from the ones I reviewed in this review. To check out my thoughts, and my comparison between the old and new crystal headbands I bought, read my follow-up crystal headband review here: https://gemorjunk.com/Articles/natural-crystal-headbands-part-2-review
