By The Adventurer

The Adventurer here. I hope you enjoyed my previous article about board shorts. This time around, I'll be discussing a purchase that the Treasure-Sharer got for me from Temu, which was a sky blue men's long sleeve hoodie. Instead of floral prints, I decided to go with a straight solid color this time. I thought that the shirt was an interesting concept, and the color was eye-catching, so I figured, why not give it a try?
As you can see from the promo image above, taken from the Temu product page, these men's long sleeve hoodie tops are like a mix between a dress shirt and a hoodie -- something that I've never seen before, and stood out to and intrigued me. I really like unique clothes, and the shirt's fusion look and distinctive color made it look like a casual item that I would be able to wear to dressier occasions.
See below for other angles of the men's long sleeve with hood, as well as close-ups, also taken from the Temu product page. The images appear to be AI-generated, and are slightly different from the actual product that I received.

Because the long sleeve hoodie was from Temu, I didn't necessarily expect it to have stellar quality, or that it would look exactly like the AI-generated images they used to advertise it. Between the three color options (black, white, and sky blue) I was most attracted to the sky blue long sleeve hoodie, so we went with that, and the Treasure-Sharer purchased that hoodie.
The long sleeve cotton hooded shirt for men in the first image is actually slightly lighter in color than the one I got, and the other promo images of the long sleeve hoodie have more of a light teal shade. The color I ended up with was generally fine though. The Vagabond loved the color choice.
The drawstring of the long sleeve hoodie is brown, with a portion of it tied into a type of knot, to prevent the drawstring from getting eaten by the holes in the hood. Like with my board shorts, I am skeptical of the longevity of the drawstring on the hooded shirt. It seems a bit flimsy, like a very loose shoelace, but, like with the board shorts I reviewed previously, I could be pleasantly surprised by its durability. We'll have to wait and see.
Initially, I was thinking that I would wear the cotton long sleeve shirt with hood in the spring or fall, but to avoid getting bitten by mosquitoes or any other bugs, I chose to wear it in the evenings during the summer, which seems to have generally worked. I figured that, instead of wearing a sweater, which would be a lot hotter combined with the hot weather, why not wear a light long sleeve shirt instead?
Surprisingly, the light long sleeve shirt is actually warmer than I'd anticipated. There were a few times when I would actually sweat while wearing it, because it made me feel a bit hotter than expected. Perhaps that will come in handy during the cooler temperatures in the spring/fall.
As for the fabric, I assumed that it would be smoother, but it's actually on the rougher side -- kind of like cheesecloth, and similar to what I've seen some hippies and nature-conscious folks wear. If you can get past the feeling of the fabric, it's not all that bad.
One of the things that I don't like about the shirt is that it is not as fitted as I expected or would have liked. While in the advertised image, the light long sleeve shirt with hood looks well-fitted, it is actually very loose and baggy, and makes my arms, chest, and waist look wider than they actually are. While I have more of an athletic build, the looseness and bagginess of the shirt and its sleeves make me look kind of bloated when I wear it. This is less of an issue when I wear the shirt unbuttoned, but really takes away from the look I was going for when I do wear it buttoned.
See the images below of me wearing the cotton long sleeve shirt with hood, with views from the back, front, and side.

As you can see, the sky blue lightweight long sleeve shirt kind of fits like a bag, which is especially evident from the side-view shot. While this might work to the advange of men who are on the scrawnier side, who could benefit from the illusion of bulk that the shirt creates; or men on the heavier side, who might prefer shirts that don't hug their body; this quality is, in my opinion, a disadvantage to men with a fitter physique, and something you might want to consider, if you are thinking of buying one of these light long sleeve shirts for men for yourself or for your man. The bagginess hides any muscle definition or muscular form you might have.
The shirt also becomes wrinkled after washing it, and needs to be ironed afterward, if wrinkles bother you. In the photo of me wearing the long sleeve hoodie, the shirt has been washed, but not ironed, which is why it looks a bit wrinkled.
The Treasure-Sharer got a deal on the shirt that she bought for me, but even at regular sale prices, these long sleeve hoodies for men are pretty affordable, and look decent, despite their low price.
While I was walking with the Treasure-Sharer, a man even said to me, "Hey, that color looks great on you."

The Treasure-Sharer and I try to stick to 100% cotton options when we order clothes from Temu, and these long sleeve hoodies for men were one of the better-looking options advertised as that.
I've gotten positive feedback from others while wearing it, and, for the price, it's worth giving a try. The Vagabond really liked the color, style, and uniqueness of the long sleeve hoodie design.
